About Arrow Butler Castings
For your non-ferrous castings, as cast, heat-treated, fully machined or painted - we provide the complete service.
Of small to medium size with a workforce of 30, the foundry produces aluminium and copper based castings, delivered on time and at a truly competitive price.  W H Butler & Sons ( Founders ) Ltd began producing
castings in 1922.
For 75 years the company operated from its original factory buildings in
Dronfield town centre. In 1996 the company re located to its present
purpose built site in Whittington, Chesterfield. Arrow Castings Ltd had successfully manufactured castings in Ireland for over 20 years. In order to give a better service to its customers it was moved to Reading in1995. In 2003 we merged with Arrow Castings Ltd. The foundry is now the largest of its kind in the local area producing castings using modern day methods whilst still drawing on knowledge and experience developed over four generations, spanning 80 years. Specializing in both sand and gravity die castings we can cater for batch numbers ranging from one offs, up to quantities exceeding tens of thousands, in any grade of aluminium or copper based metal. By utilising skilled moulders and die casters, we can maintain a high degree of flexibility to cater for every feasible shape, size and quantity of casting required. Our casting service is second to none, whatever your requirement, we are flexible enough to meet your demands. We pride ourselves in being very practical and as such, we have been able to help many of our customers develop prototypes, and design out problem areas, ensuring a better and usually a cheaper end product. The types of production we employ, offers the ideal route to take your product from a single prototype, through medium production to high volume runs. All castings manufactured are recorded on our database allowing full traceability, which means certificates can be provided when required. We offer a unique service in the supply of cast iron bar. We have an extensive stock of square, rectangle and round continual cast bar. With cutting facilities in house we specialise in the quick supply of sawn blanks and lengths of bar in all shapes and sizes. Over the years we have produced castings for a wide range of industries:
